Restricted Key Systems

The MLAA’s newest keying system DC-1

DC-1 is a Locksmith Grade, High Precision In line Tiered Restricted Keying System. DC-1 is a standard 6 pin inline profile that can have an optional Bump Resistant feature added.

As Australian Standards for Restricted Key Systems move towards Bump Resistance being mandatory, this is the ideal step to start changing your inline key systems over. At similar cost to standard inline systems, but with the addition of Bump Resistance, DC-1 can give you a great point of difference to win over customers. The plugs & housings are still fully compatible with standard inline systems, and the Bump Resistant feature can be added during keying using the special DC-1 bump-resistant pins and housings. DC-1 has the added advantage of accepting all 11 depths of bottom pins (size 0 tap 10) to greatly expand your master keying capabilities. The system is design registered until 2021 giving you plenty of coverage.

DC-1 is available to suit all major cylinders in the market and is very cost competitive. In addition to that all DC-1 plugs are the same price to make your life easy.

System Hierarchy

Restricted master key profile (DC-1M) with corresponding master broach. 3 restricted minor key profiles (DC-1A, DC-1B and DC-1C) with corresponding broaches. The restricted master key (DC-1M) will work in any of the 4 broaches. Each restricted minor key will only work in its corresponding broach.

ABUS Systems Y14 Locking System with Precision

Internal Key Stop

The special key stop offers extra copy protection technology. If the key stop groove does not correspond with the stop pin the key will not go in the lock farenough for the key to work.

Precision Angled Key Profile

The angled key profile offers effective resistance to picking. The angled profile offers much higher key stability.

General Benefits

Complex locking through a 14 mm core offers greater system flexibility. Legal protection (Patent) gives “the good feeling of security”. Six (6) to ten (10) locking elements. Durable key design through nickle silver keys.

Side passive pins leads to higher locking security

Ideal for higher security requirements

XY14 offers a higher level of security with the use of passive side pins. Increasing the locking security and enhancing the master key possibilities. The addition of XY14 into existing Y14 systems gives future flexibility. Alternatively, a system can be entirely XY14. Allowing for larger systems with complex security needs right from the start.

Improved security

The additional locking row makes manipulating the lock even more difficult. Unauthorised copying of dimple cuts is extremely difficult. Up to 10 pins per cylinder provide optimum protection against side attack. Drilling protection from hard steel pins in cylinders.

Special numbering

For individual identification of both key and lock stamping can be used throughout any ABUS 14 system. Ensuring ease of service.
